Formerly known as Christian Living Education, the foundation of the Faith Formation Ministry springs from the vision of the Ateneo de Naga University Junior High School “to be a community of discerning individuals with Catholic, Jesuit, and Filipino values, equipped with relevant competence, skills, character, and attitudes, these individuals effect positive change in society and the world.” By its nature, the Faith Formation Ministry takes a spiritual and faith formation lens and moves to achieve this vision through classroom-based formation following the Christian Living Education curriculum of the Ateneo de Naga University Junior High School. The curriculum is implemented in the classroom with emphasis on action-based, experiential, reflective, and appreciative instructional approaches which veer away from traditional modes of purely academic classroom instruction and
assessment.

The FFM consists primarily of three major formation thrusts starting School Year 2023-2024 namely: (1) Identity, (2) Accompaniment, and (3) Reconciliation.

Beyond grades, tests, academic performance, and awards, the Ministry is more concerned with the relationship of the students with the Lord. Thus, the classroom instruction of all Faith Formation Program formators takes a more pastoral approach to teaching and learning with a special attention to accompaniment and high-impact classroom formation activities which are rooted in Ignatian Spirituality and result in community service and action.
